Daryl - Web Director/Volunteer

** All of the staff from WRAP would like to thank Daryl for all of the hard work that he puts into the website, as well as many of his other contributions to the program!!!!

The WRAP website has been at its new location since December of 1998, and people from all over the world are finding it! We've had over 5,000 visitors since the page was started in July of 1997, and lately we've been getting 20-40 visitors per day from across the United States and from all around the world!

With the help of some new tracking software, we can see that we've had visitors from every state, as well as from over 20 foreign countries, including China, Japan, the Netherlands, Kenya, and Brazil. We can also see what "server" they're using, so we also know that we've had over 100 visitors from universities, a few from various state organizations, and even a visit from CBS News in Washington D.C.!

In addition, we've gotten several awards from the Internet community, including three from various domestic violence organizations, and we've received a lot of e-mail from people who've gotten help from our website. We're not stopping here, though -- we're constantly upgrading our pages and adding new information, including putting copies of our newsletters on-line. (like this one!)

Our latest addition is a map of the United States with links to listings of the domestic violence programs and shelters available in each state, so if you have a friend in need of help, they can go to it here and just click on their state to find the program or shelter nearest them.

It's a big project, and it takes a lot of maintenance, but if we've been able to help one victim of domestic violence get free, we feel it's been worth it.
