WRAP of Redwood County needs volunteers very badly. Right now we are dependent on the WRAP office in Lyon County to provide weekend on-call volunteers. I know that Redwood County has many wonderful, giving people in it. We have had some wonderful volunteers in the past here. Please, if anyone has even thought about volunteering to help battered women, give me a call and we can talk. The WRAP office provides all the training volunteer advocates need. It is a fun and rewarding experience.
Does anyone need a speaker for a club meeting or church gathering? I have experience presenting to all sorts of groups about domestic violence and related topics. I can speak from fifteen minutes up to an hour (or more if desired). WRAP also has a number of training videos around 1/2 hour long dealing with domestic violence that are very informative. Again, feel free to give me a call if you are interested in having a speaker.
Finally, I would like to thank the Redwood Area United Way for their contribution to WRAP of Redwood County. I would also like to thank the Redwood Women of Today for donating items for battered women who need safehousing. WRAP is always in need of donations - both money and supplies.

It will be as though you are walking alone
It will be your own beauty this time
It will be as though the poem becomes
