Nobles County Pioneer Village
Hours, Fees, and Contact Information


The Pioneer Village is open to the general public from Memorial Day to Labor Day, and on other days by special arrangement. Hours are 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday and from 1:00 - 5:00 p.m. on Sundays.



Parking is always free, and admissions are good for all day.

Special group rates are also available for school groups.

Admission is free for members of the Nobles County Historical Society. Membership costs (and benefits) are:
  • Individual (Settler) - $20.00/year
    Includes an individual season pass to the Pioneer Village and a subscription to the Society's newsletter.

  • Family (Sodbuster) - $40.00/year
    Includes a family season pass to the Pioneer Village and a subscription to the Society's newsletter.

  • Family (Homesteader) - $100.00/year
    Includes a family season pass to the Pioneer Village, 6 daily guest passes* to the Pioneer Village, and a subscription to the Society's newsletter.

  • Family (Pioneer) - $200.00/year
    Includes a family season pass to the Pioneer Village, 12 daily guest passes* to the Pioneer Village, special rental rates for the Pioneer Village buildings, and a subscription to the Society's newsletter.

  • Business (Prairie Builder) - $500.00/year
    For businesses who support the mission of the Historical Society. It includes a subscription to the Society's newsletter and special rental rates for the Pioneer Village buildings for group events (i.e., weddings, reunions, receptions, birthdays, company picnics, annual meetings...).

  • Sponsorship of a Pioneer Village Building - $1,000.00 per year
    This is for businesses and individuals who have come over the top with support for the Historical Society. A plaque will be placed on the building of the member's choice (if available) at the Pioneer Village, and it includes a subscription to the Society's newsletter.
All Historical Society members may attend all events at the Pioneer Village. (Private events not included.)

* Daily guest passes are only good for one visit to the Pioneer Village and may not be used at Fundraising Events.

From Interstate 90, you can take either of two exits to come to the Nobles County Pioneer Village.

If you take Exit 42 (Diagonal Ave), continue south until you get to Oxford Street. Turn left and go for about one block until you turn left onto Rowe Avenue. Signs will direct you to the Pioneer Village.

From Exit 43 (Humiston Avenue and Hwy. 59), turn south and continue to Oxford Street. Turn right and continue to McMillan Ave. Turn right again and continue to Stower Drive, where you will turn left. There are direction signs here as well.
