Awards


After looking all over the internet for awards that recognize the fight against Domestic Violence, we decided to start giving out our own. These awards are for all qualifying websites.

But first...


The Rules

  1. No broken graphics.

  2. No broken internal links.

  3. There must a way to turn off background music.

  4. It must be in English, or have an English version.

  5. No unnecessary animations, including backgrounds.

  6. No "Under Construction" signs. If it's not finished, apply later.

  7. No funky typing. wE dOn'T lIkE iT, aNd wE wOn'T aWaRd iT.



Domestic Violence Information Award
 The award for "Domestic Violence Information" is given to websites that we feel meet the following criteria:

  1. The site must be easy to navigate.
  2. It must be about Domestic Violence.
  3. It must have more than one page of information.
  4. It must consist of more than just links to other sites or information about your program - there must be actual, helpful content.




Survivor Site Award
 The "Survivor Site Award" is given to websites that meet the following simple criteria:


  1. The site must have personal domestic violence experiences.
  2. It may consist of stories, poetry, artwork - however they have chosen to express their experiences.




To nominate your website for one or more of these awards, please fill out the form below. If your browser doesn't support forms, please send us an e-mail message with the following information:

  1. The name of your website;
  2. The URL address of your website;
  3. The name of the award you are applying for; and
  4. Some information about yourself and/or your program.


We will try to review your website within two weeks. All applicants will be notified of our decision.

Award of Excellence
In addition, Angels on Earth has an Award of Excellence.

You cannot apply for this award. Our judges will award it to websites that we feel meet the following criteria.


  1. It must meet all the criteria for the Domestic Violence Information Award.
  2. It must be very well-designed.
  3. It must be specifically about domestic violence.
  4. It must have a great amount of information and resources.
