As mentioned on the contact page, the Pioneer Village is open to the general public from Memorial Day to Labor Day, and on other days by special arrangement. Hours are 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday and from 1:00 - 5:00 p.m. on Sundays. There is a custodian on the grounds from Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Arrangements for renting the facilities can be made for after hours, weekends, and off-season. The nature of the buildings and artifacts at the Pioneer Village require security presence during events at these times.
A building is rented only for the day of usage, but arrangements can be made to come onto the site on other days for decorating. The rental contract applies only to the building rented; other buildings are off-limits. If desired, they can be rented separately. Rest rooms are available on the grounds but not in the buildings. Temporary heating is available, depending on the weather.
All buildings require a NON-REFUNDABLE 50% deposit at the time of booking, with the balance due 1 WEEK prior to the event. There is a fee of $40.00 for setting up and taking down chairs and tables if we do it. There is also a refundable cleaning deposit of $200.00.
We do have to charge tax on rentals at 7.375%.
